Green lovers, rejoice! Our beloved green Rainforest Edition timepiece is now available in mini! Those with smaller wrists will now be able to get their hands on this Solios favourite in a more compact size, which has a 29mm dial instead of the classic 36 to 40mm format.

Our 29mm dial is one of our most popular styles amongst those with a smaller wrist or who prefer a more delicate take on our classic watch.

Green Watch for Women

What makes this watch so unique? Just like our original Green Rainforest watch, for each watch sold, 10% of the revenue is given to Rainforest Trust. So, the Mini Rainforest is not only chic in design and made for smaller wrists, but it also supports a fantastic foundation.

Mini Watch, Big Impact: Why Rainforest Trust?

A watch that saves acres of rainforest

In 2020, we partnered with the Rainforest Trust. This non-profit organization does the most to save and preserve the rainforest, communities, and wildlife.

When choosing an organization to partner with, we put a lot of thought and research into finding the most transparent and efficient foundation. One thing we did know was that we wanted to support the rainforest as it felt closer to our initiative of solar-powered technology.

We quickly realized through our research that partnering with the Rainforest Trust was the way to go. Whilst most foundations put only 50% of their donations towards the cause they support, the Rainforest Trust stands out by investing 100% of their donations back into projects linked to preserving the rainforest.

“ Sustainability. Efficiency. Transparency. Rainforest Trust and Solios have both been built on these same key guiding principles, as well as the common vision to make the world a better place.”

This collaboration enables us to proactively save endangered species, one watch at a time. Since we give back to the foundation 10% of the sales from the Rainforest Edition, every watch sold from this collection can save acres of tropical land. That's what we call looking good while doing good!

Every watch sold from other collections also gives back 1% to Rainforest Trust. Since partnering with them  back in 2020, by April 2022, we had accumulated a total donation of $30,000. But we’re not done yet, which is why we are so excited about the launch of the Mini Rainforest.

Rainforest Trust in a Nutshell

For over 30 years, their partners and participants have been putting 100% of donations towards saving and preserving the rainforest.

“Rainforest Trust saves endangered wildlife and protects our planet by creating rainforest reserves through partnerships, community engagement and donor support.”

Thanks to hard work and dedication, they have managed to save over 39 million acres of tropical habitat across the globe. It includes private reserves, national parks, community forests, and Indigenous land.

From Ecuador to Bolivia, Rainforest Trust has helped many species, communities, and land by stopping road construction, protecting endangered animals and other wildlife, preventing logging, stopping deforestation, and so much more.

Why Protect the Rainforest?

The rainforest is more than a beautiful, foliage-rich forest you see on T.V. and in photography. It is a critical element of the health of our Earth, home to an astounding amount of species, and holds an abundance of indigenous communities.

It Protects The Climate

The rainforest does more than absorb CO2 and release oxygen, helping us breathe and stabilizing Earth’s climate. It’s not just your typical forest (which is essential too, of course!).

Rainforests are like large sponges that hold water. Rainforest trees collect water from the forest floor and put it back into the atmosphere as dewy clouds. Without this continuous recycling of water, rivers, lakes, and irrigation systems would lose their source and dry up, possibly leading to droughts and famine.

It Protects The Species

The rainforest is home to over 30 million species of plants and animals. That comes to about two-thirds of the plant species and half of the wildlife on planet Earth.

These species rely on the forest to survive for food, water, and security. Deforestation and the lack of taking care of the rainforest can cause species to become endangered or even extinct.

It Protects The People

Alongside the animals and plants, many Indigenous people rely on the food, shelter, and natural medicine found in the rainforest.

Living in harmony and respecting the rainforest, these people are pushed from their homes, which their ancestors had called home for centuries. Practicing friendly farming, respecting the land, and doing right by the ecosystem.

“ We cannot stop climate change without saving tropical forests. If tropical deforestation were a country, it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases after China and the United States. Yet, in spite of this destruction, the tropical forests that remain still remove twice this quantity of CO2 equivalents from the atmosphere each year.”

The Rainforest Trust x Solios Collection

The Whole collection of green dial watch

The Rainforest Collection doesn’t stop at Rainforest Edition Mini! We have a selection of styles, all featuring the same iconic green timepiece.

Our first launch with Rainforest Trust featured the classic Solar Rainforest, the one that started it all. And we recently launched the Rainforest Curve, our innovative take on the future of watches. All designed with a beautiful emerald green dial and a special engraving that reminds of the rainforest.

What will your Solios style be?
